Frutura is a true Styrian company right in the heart of Eastern Styria – Austria’s fruit orchard. Founded in 2002 by 3 pioneering farmers Frutura is fully focused on top quality fruit. Therefore frutura has been marketing only organic  produce and conventionally produced top quality fruit right from the start.

 

In the meantime Frutura has grown into an important service-provider of fresh fruit & veg. in Europe and sustainability is still the main driving force. With around 170 employees, own banana-ripening facility, cold-stores and modern packing-lines Frutura is servicing its customers both in fresh- and dried fruits on a daily basis. New projects are now in the pipeline, namely geothermal energy for vegetable production and already ongoing for quite some time: the humus project. Building up of humus through a special composting system and the resulting revitalization of soils and sequestration of CO2.
